到目前為止，我們學過兩種動詞的形式：

在英文中，有時有些句子雖然是用現在式，可是其實是表達將來；而在 Esperanto 中，這些一律以將來式來表達。

Post Kiami / Antaŭ ol
前置詞 post 是 after 的意思，而這個字通常都會放在名詞前。

可是，如果想在動詞片語 (verb phrase) 前，便需要以 post kiam 代替：

同樣地， antaŭ (before 或 in front of) 通常都會放在名詞前，而 antaŭ ol (before) 就會放在動詞片語 (verb phrase) 前：
